Practice Areas

JAY J. KIIHA, J.D., LL.M. (Agriculture Law), is licensed to practice law in Idaho and in Arkansas and is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Idaho and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. His practice emphasizes administrative law (primarily professional board licensing disputes), appellate law (criminal and civil), water law, criminal defense and general litigation. Mr. Kiiha obtained his J.D. from Northern Illinois University. After completing a judicial clerkship for Judge Don Harding in Soda Springs, Idaho, he attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville where he was a fellow at the National Agriculture Law Center while working on his LL.M. in Agricultural Law.

Prior to forming Capitol Law Group, PLLC, Mr. Kiiha was a partner in Arkoosh Law Offices, Chartered. Mr. Kiiha is also a member of Idaho’s Criminal Justice Act Panel, providing trial and appellate defense services to persons accused of committing drug related offenses. Mr. Kiiha taught business law and hospitality law as an adjunct professor at the College of Southern Idaho in 2005-2006. Mr. Kiiha is currently of counsel to Eiguren Public Law and Policy, PLLC, and acts as a lobbyist for the same.
